Meet Dr. Genovese-Doyle

Licensed Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Juliana Genovese-Doyle is a licensed clinical psychologist and the founder of Point North Psychological Services. Her clinical work brings together two complementary areas of psychology: psychotherapy and neuropsychological assessment.

Dr. Genovese earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the Gordon F. Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies at Adelphi University. Her training has included extensive experience in both psychotherapy and psychological and neuropsychological assessment across hospital, outpatient, private practice, university, and community settings.

In her assessment practice, Dr. Genovese primarily works with children and adolescents experiencing academic, behavioral, and emotional difficulties. Her training in comprehensive psychological and neuropsychological assessment allows her to look beyond a child's presenting difficulties and consider the interaction between cognitive functioning, learning, attention, executive functioning, and emotional and behavioral factors.

In psychotherapy, Dr. Genovese is particularly interested in working with adolescent girls and young adult women navigating anxiety, perfectionism, relationship difficulties, depression, self-esteem concerns, and major life transitions. Her approach is relational and psychodynamic, while drawing from CBT, DBT, and ACT to provide practical tools when appropriate.

Across both therapy and assessment, Dr. Genovese's approach is grounded in curiosity, collaboration, and an effort to understand the individual within the context of their relationships, experiences, and environment.
