Worrying about things that haven't happened yet
-
Perfectionism or fear of making mistakes
-
Difficulty making decisions
-
Seeking reassurance from other people
-
Avoiding situations because they feel uncomfortable or uncertain
-
Feeling physically tense, restless, or unable to relax
-
Panic attacks or sudden episodes of intense anxiety
An Integrative Approach to Treatment
Anxiety doesn't develop in a vacuum.
Our experiences, relationships, expectations, and ways of coping can all influence how we respond to uncertainty, conflict, vulnerability, achievement, and change.
At Point North, we take a psychodynamic and relational approach to anxiety treatment. Rather than viewing anxiety simply as a collection of symptoms to eliminate, therapy creates space to become curious about what those symptoms may be communicating.
Alongside psychodynamic and relational therapy, treatment may incorporate strategies from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

UNDERSTANDING WHERE YOUR PATTERNS COME FROM AND HELPING YOU DEVELOP NEW WAYS OF RESPONDING.
